CLEANSE
Pre-Shower Care:
Brush hair to remove tangles and prevent matting before showering.
Shampoo and Conditioner:
Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to prolong hair color and extensions.
Gentle Shampooing:
Gently shampoo your natural hair and in between the rows, avoiding vigorous scrubbing. Consider a double shampoo for thorough cleaning.
Rinse Thoroughly:
Ensure all product is rinsed out, leaving no residue behind.
Conditioning:
Apply conditioner and use a wet brush to evenly distribute it through your hair and extensions. This helps seal down the cuticle.
Rinse Again:
Rinse thoroughly to remove all conditioner residue.
Weekly Mask:
Use a weekly hair mask to moisturize and nourish your hair.
Towel Drying:
Absorb excess water from your hair using a microfiber towel.
BRUSH AND BLOW DRY
Brushing:
Start brushing from the ends of your hair, working your way up. Stop at the weft.
Row-by-Row Brushing:
Clip up everything except your natural hair underneath the bottom row, then brush it out.
Drop down your bottom row and brush it out.
Drop out the natural hair in between the two rows and brush it out.
Drop out the top row and brush it out.
Finally, drop out the natural hair on top to complete the brushing process.
Heat Protectant:
Apply a heat protectant.
Rough Drying:
Roughly dry your hair using your hands and fingers, avoiding tugging at the extensions. Aim to dry 80% of the way.
Sectional Drying:
For a faster blow-dry, section out each row and dry them separately.
Final Styling:
You can use a round brush with a small amount of tension to smooth your hair and extensions for the last 20% of your blow-dry.
STYLING
Heat Protection:
Always use a heat protectant when heat styling your hair.
Temperature Control:
Keep your hot tool temperatures at 320°F or below to avoid damaging the extensions.
Limit Heat Styling:
Limit heat styling to 2-3 times a week to minimize stress on the extensions.
SLEEP
Pre-Sleep Care:
Brush your hair thoroughly and ensure it's completely dry before going to bed.
Braiding or Ponytail:
Create one or two loose braids or secure your hair in a loose low ponytail using a silk scrunchie.
Silk Pillowcase:
Sleep on a silk pillowcase to reduce friction and minimize potential damage to your extensions.
